What an awesome story!
It was my first full marathon as well and I saw you guys at the start of the race.
I finished considerably farther behind but am excited to have completed it.

I love this! It's pretty special to get to experience what you experienced with your mom:) I know because I've done it – running my second marathon with my dad (Note: also have run a half with my mom). Sounds like you enjoyed the experience and hopefully mom did too! Kudos to her -simply awesome.

huge congrats to your mom! what a fun race for both of you – you did an excellent job of supporting and pacing her along. i love her 60th bday challenge to herself, too awesome. congrats on another marathon under your belt, and your mom on her first!
