congrats! a 3:53 is great, especially considering all the circumstances. i've been tempted at times these past few months to do another marathon (i haven't ran one since jan) but then i remind myself i haven't been training for one. i know i had aches and pains after previous marathons i ran w/o adequate training and i know i'd be disappointed if i didn't do semi-well, even if i knew i hadn't trained. i hope you are able to find your balance - either running them for fun or focusing on just a few each year. definitely sounds like a nice race though, hope the recovery has been going well!
