I submitted a request to review my results, since the mobile version of the results showed:
Gun Start: 7:40:56
Chip Start: 7:39:47
(as though I had started running before the gun went off).
I got back an email, they adjusted my time, so it turns out I managed to squeak out a 5 second PR!

The times now are more in line with my watch (I knew it was 1:40:xx at the half, which is a half PR!), so I definitely feel a bit better about the race. A 5 second PR is still a PR!
We noticed that too! I did enjoy the image of you just taking off out of the gate 30 seconds before everyone else.
That’s really great. Think of all the people who have faced this issue, but never make an effort to follow-up. The “hard work” paid off.
Yay! So glad about that.
At Disney the week before, the same thing happened with my times: gun time was faster than chip time. Unfortunately, they corrected it so I was slower
Not a bad run Miss Hill!!! Traing at altitude suits you.
thanks Bridget! However, it’s not really any better than I did in Chicago 3 years ago. I don’t think the altitude has really had much effect.
How are you??
congrats on the pr! always awesome to pr, no matter how big or small. and a 1:40 half in a marathon…. i dunno a 1:37 doesn’t sound that far off to me!
