in Monthly Mileage

Another all-time high: 185.75 (up from Aug: 183.6). Not bad, considering I’ve been tapering for nearly two weeks!
Tomorrow starts “marathon month”…

returning to Columbus

by Andrea on September 29, 2005

in General

..so my Columbus registration form is in the mail.
I spoke with the executive director today, and he offered me complementary entry. It’s the week between Steamtown and Detroit, so I don’t know if it’s smart to run or not, but I figured that I might as well register, I can always not show up..

Interesting, today on the run Meredith said my name wasn’t listed on the Indian Run 10K listings. So I took another look today: I’m on the overall 10K listing, but not in the age group category. What the heck? So I emailed Premier Races. It doesn’t make sense that I’m listed on one page but [...]

saturday training

by Andrea on September 25, 2005

in General

Today I met up with Meredith, Mike and Doug for 16. We planned to loop around and end up at the lake for 13 (all Mike was doing) and then I’d stop at 16, and Meredith and Doug would do 20. It had been a long time since Meredith and I ran together, so [...]

fake racing with Bridget

by Andrea on September 24, 2005

10K – 15K Race
Rather than actually racing, I’d made plans to run with Bridget, and told her I wanted to do a 7:30 pace. That would be ‘easy’ for her
Woke up this morning to a thunderstorm. I HATE running in the rain, but I didn’t have Bridget’s number to call and cancel, [...]

Helen is a bad influence!

by Andrea on September 21, 2005

in Uncategorized

Actually the invite came from Paul – I guess he and Helen are thinking about doing the Detroit marathon on Oct 23rd, and asked if I was interested. I wasn’t initially, until they mentioned it went underwater and you ran to Windsor. That peaked my interest! Obviously I want to wait and see how [...]
