Apologies to any RSS subscribers who got overloaded with posts last night. I was looking at how to import a list of “daily tumbles”. I was looking at a few wordpress plugins, namely wp-o-matic and yadd. wp-o-matic worked great… perhaps too great! The first time I kicked off a campaign (pulling the feed in), it posted each of my tumbles as an individual post. Not exactly what I wanted, but it was a start. Then as I looked more into manipulating the feed only to pull the articles within that day (calendar day or 24 hr period.. decisions, decisions!), I got a DB error. Lo and behold, I was happily posting my tumbles to this blog – hundreds of times! Evidently pseudo-cron is not my friend :-/
I went through and deleted the posts, but some of them still showed up in my daily post summary email I get from feedburner.
