I had been planning on attending “Access U” – accessibility training in Austin, in May. There was also a full-day workshop the day prior, Real World Accessibility for AJAX and Web Apps. I haven’t signed up yet, but that was my plan for my training for the year.
I just stumbled upon this: Patterns: Blueprints for Usability – taking place in June in (of all places) Austin. I have a great interest in patterns, and this seems to be an ideal place to learn more! As at all good conferences, however, there are several sessions running concurrently that I’d be interested in. To my knowledge, no one from here is attending at all, so I won’t even have the chance to pick their brains upon their return.
One option could be to apply as a volunteer – that would give me some access to the conference in general, and with any luck I would be assigned to the sessions that particularly peaked my interest. Hmmm….
