Technical / Developer Courses
- Developing ATG Applications Part 1 (5 Days) – features detailed training on ATG Scenario Personalization, which allows developers to manage user profiles, define user-interaction scenarios, and deliver highly personalized content to users. The focus is on teaching students how to use all of the value-added services that the ATG Adaptive Scenario Engine provides on top of an application server. The ATG Adaptive Scenario Engine provides powerful and easy-to-use features that every ATG developer needs to master.
- Developing ATG Applications Part 2 (2 Days) – teaches critical skills that students need in order to participate in courses covering ATG’s Commerce, Portal, or Content Administration products. Students will learn about complex repository configurations, custom property types, and repository cache modes. Student will also learn how to create custom scenario events and actions using the ATG Messaging System. Part 2 also teaches vital skills needed to pass the ATG Relationship Management Certification exam.
- Establishing the ATG Content Administration Environment (2 Days) - This course teaches students how to establish a Content Administration server for an application, set up versioned SQL repositories, and manage file-based assets. You will learn how to create and customize a publishing center, where content providers and managers can manage assets. This includes topics such as designing workflows, customizing actions for different views, and creating templates. You will also learn how to deploy new or changed assets to the staging and production environments.
- Creating Commerce Applications (4 Days) - This course will teach students the core functionality needed to develop and configure consumer and business-to-business commerce Web applications. You will learn how to create, customize, and maintain a fully featured commerce application using ATG Commerce. You will understand how to design standard and custom catalogs, control pricing, manage shopping carts/orders; handle complex shipping and payments, and process orders with ATG Commerce tools. You will also learn how to create promotions and gain an understanding of how ATG interfaces with fulfilment and inventory systems.
Business Manager/Marketing Courses
- Exploring ATG Technology (1 Day) - This course will help business managers harness the power of ATG to meet their business goals. Students will get a business-focused overview of ATG products, including the Dynamo Application Framework, Scenario Personalization, ATG Commerce Package, ATG Portal, and ATG Content Administration. Using case studies, the course will explore several specific business problems and how ATG can be used to solve them. The course includes exercises in which students will work in teams to practice applying ATG-based solutions to real-world business needs.
- Using ATG Scenarios (1 Day) –This course is designed to help business-focused ATG users manage customer experience with scenario-driven personalization and targeted content delivery. You will walk through an overview of Web personalization and learn how to build a customer management strategy using ATG Scenario Personalization. You will also learn how to implement your B2C or B2B strategy by targeting the right content and promotions to the right audience. You will receive hands-on training with the ATG Control Center and learn how to create scenarios and targeted e-mails. Finally, you will learn how to measure success and fine-tune your customer management strategies to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
- Modeling and Designing ATG Scenarios (1 Day) – This course enables students with the ability to move from business requirements through design to support a successful implementation and deployment of high-value scenarios. ATG Scenario PersonalizationSM is a powerful and extensible technology that requires careful planning to be a practical and effective solution to a particular customer campaign. Understanding how to capture the business requirements in a way that supports the design, implementation, and deployment of scenarios is a critical skill. Once business requirements for your scenarios are well defined, you’ll need to carefully document the design of those scenarios to ensure a successful and timely implementation and deployment. This course brings together the business and the technical aspects of ATG scenarios in a practical way. A case-study for modeling and designing a real-world scenario will be provided as an exercise.
- Managing ATG Commerce (1 Day) - teaches business users and marketing managers to how maximize the potential of their ATG Commerce site. Students will learn how to use ATG Merchandising to build and maintain a product catalog and manage the lifecycle of commerce assets. Students will also learn and how to create and deliver promotions and will introduce ATG Campaign Optimizer for Commerce, which allows marketing managers to easily evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans.
- Using ATG Content Administration (1 Day) - This course teaches students how to use ATG Content Administration to manage content for their ATG site. Students learn how to create projects, create and edit assets inside of a project, move a project through the approval process, deploy projects to their staging and production environments, and test those changes on the target environments. Through hands-on demonstrations and exercises, students learn how to handle different kinds of content, such as HTML pages, images, database-driven content, and ATG-specific features such as scenarios and profile groups.
