I'm with ya here. Without going into much detail and in order to protect client anonymity, let me say this: Trying to manage a project, a large project, without direction that requirements provide is like trying to herd cats. Add a fragmented team going in multiple directions and.... whew! As a team member, I"m but a pig, not a chicken, (just read your post about Agile) I've sticky-noted myself the task of trying to reign it all in!

Viva freelancing!!! ;p

Hello John, thanks for stopping by!

When I redesigned my blog a few weeks back I decided to give sculpting a try, although I don't know that I really have any way to determine if it works or not!

Your comment about how if you wrote like me you'd be a billionaire made me laugh. Geez, what'm I doing wrong then?? :)

Keep in touch!

Happy New Year Andrea
I was reading your thoughtful and well written comments on another blog and said I must go investigate :) I see you sculpt page rank and I'm bookmarking your site to check on the next update to see if wide open (everything on my blog is followed) or sculpting is the way to go. More importantly is I wish I could write like you I'd be a billionaire :)
As far as the busy awesome life that your living I did at first intend to pursue setting up sites for people BUT after all the drama and lack of appreciation etc I build my own sites that make money. I make enough to not have to work and if I have an idea I do it for myself. So yes there's a part of me that wishes I had better people skills and was as good looking as you But I'm that guy that doesn't fit in with all that Fame game stuff I keep it real and love to help people. I like your blog alot and was very impressed that may not sound like much but I see Every blog eventually and don't say often. Best wishes to you:)

This is a strong case for requirements, as you get to the heart of the issue, in that specific expectations are to be set before the results can be expected. The lack of flexibility might as well be a benefit, as it represents that the path shouldn't deviate from a certain production plan. Qualifiers like "some" or "a few" do tend to remove from the intensity of requirement presented. Your point about heading to a Business Analyst for information about setting up proper requirements makes sense, as they tend to work through a thought process that reduces deviations from intended results.
